Aladdin Jr

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers!

Week One:
Monday – First Day of Rehearsal
Wednesday – Audition Day, Students will audition for roles they are interested in pursuing.
Please Note: All students enrolled in the CYT program will be cast in the production. Auditions are an opportunity for students to express interest in specific roles and be considered for those parts.
Saturday – First Full Cast Rehearsal
The cast list will be announced via email before the first full cast rehearsal, which will take place on the first Saturday.

Rehearsal Schedule:
Monday & Wednesday's from 4:30-6:30PM and Saturday's from 10AM-12PM
Saturday before tech week: 10AM-2PM
Tech week (week of opening night): Monday thru Thursday from 4:30-6:30PM.

Note: The rehearsal schedule may be adjusted to accommodate school holidays or other holidays that fall on scheduled rehearsal days. Additional rehearsals may also be requested by the director as needed in preparation for performances. Parents will always be notified of any schedule changes in advance.

All rehearsals will be located at the Main Street Theatre unless otherwise noted.

School Shows:
March 5, 2027 at 9AM & 10:30AM

Public Performances:
March 5, 2027 at 6PM
March 6, 2027 at 6PM
March 7, 2027 at 3PM

Registration immediately reserves a limited space that another student cannot select. Registration fees are non-refundable. If a student withdraws within 14 days of the session start date and another student on the wait list fills the space, the organization may issue a credit toward a future session minus a $50 cancellation fee. No credit is provided after the session begins.

For your convenience, tuition may be paid in full or split into payments when a payment plan is available. Select the payment option shown with the class during registration. CYTeen audition registration may have no initial fee; students who are cast must submit payment on or before the class start date.

CYT productions welcome all skill levels and generally serve students ages 8–17. CYTeen productions generally serve students ages 13–19 and are offered on an audition-only basis because some productions may contain more mature content. Registering for CYTeen reserves an audition slot and does not guarantee casting. The specific age limits configured for the selected class are applied using the student age on the class start date.
